Technical and Trades Education and Certifications

Technical and Trades education at Clatsop Community College accounted for about two thirds of students in Fall 2019. Today there is fewer than one student for every four then enrolled.

Sue Iverson spent 18 years at the Community Education/Workforce Training Dept. at Clatsop Community College making the College’s Technical and Trades programs the powerhouse of the College. She is exactly who we need on the board to help rebuild those programs.

Patrick Preston spent 25 years at the Oregon Employment Department as a Jobs Service Representative, Business & Employment Specialist, Local Veterans Representative, and Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist. He has the experience necessary to reconnect the College with employers in our community, and to find workforce training grants to further expand the college’s offerings.

Trudy Van Dusen Citovic has the local connections and business management experience to help Clatsop Community College re-engage with local businesses.
